WCEM SEXUAL HARASSMENT CELL

Sexual Harassment Committee

At WCEM, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and respectful campus environment for all students, faculty, and staff. Our Sexual Harassment Cell is committed to preventing and addressing incidents of sexual harassment with sensitivity, confidentiality, and prompt action.

Objectives:

1. Prevention: Our primary objective is to prevent instances of sexual harassment through awareness-raising initiatives, training programs, and policy implementation.

2. Support: We provide confidential support and assistance to individuals who have experienced sexual harassment. Our trained counselors offer guidance, resources, and a safe space to discuss concerns and explore available options.

3. Redressal: In the event of a sexual harassment complaint, our cell ensures a fair and impartial investigation process. We prioritize the well-being of the complainant and strive to provide a resolution that is respectful, timely, and effective.

How to Report Sexual Harassment:

If you have experienced or witnessed sexual harassment, we encourage you to report it through one of the following channels:

Online Complaint Form: Fill out our online complaint form available on the college website. Your identity will be kept confidential, and strict action will be taken against the perpetrator.

In-Person: Visit the Sexual Harassment Cell office located on campus to file a complaint in person. Our staff are trained to handle complaints sensitively and ensure a swift resolution.

Confidential Helpline: Contact our confidential helpline at [Helpline Number] to report incidents of sexual harassment or seek assistance.
Our Commitment:

Confidentiality: We treat all complaints with the utmost confidentiality and respect for the privacy of the individuals involved.
Fair Process: We ensure a fair and transparent investigation process, adhering to principles of natural justice and due diligence.
Support Services: We offer support services to complainants, including counseling, legal assistance, and referrals to external agencies, as needed.
Prevention and Awareness: We conduct regular awareness campaigns, workshops, and training sessions to educate the college community about sexual harassment prevention, consent, and bystander intervention.

At WCEM, we are committed to creating a campus environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to speak out against sexual harassment. Together, let us work towards building a culture of dignity, equality, and mutual respect.
