1. All Library books would be issued only on production of the valid identity card.
2. Identity card issued to a student is not transferable.
3. Only three books shall be issued to student an anyone one time for a period not exceeding fourteen days. (where the seven day falls on a Sunday or holiday then the next working day would be taken into account.)
4. If the book is delayed beyond the period of its issue, a penalty equivalent to Rs. 5/- would be levied per day book.
5. Any existing damage should be brought to the notice of the Librarian immediately on issue and noted in the issue register. No complaints at a later day would be entertained.
6. for the loss of the book, a charge of the three times the cost of the book would be recovered as per rules of the university
7. Student are allowed to requisition a particular book and if the same is not readily available for issue his/her name would be kept in the waiting list until such time it is available for issue and thereafter for a period of three days. If not issued it shall be given to the next claimant.
8. Absolute silence, proper utilization of the books in the library and all other infrastructure provided within and general discipline should be followed. Anybody found breaking these rules would be dealt with in accordance with the rules of the institute which could debar him from using the Library to start with.
9. No Clearance Certificate shall be issued to students without return of all books issued to him. Students shall not bring any bugs or other similar material within the issue section. They shall keep their belongings in the counter at the entrance at their own risk.
10. Reference books like year book, encyclopaedia, project, report and journals will not be issued. (These can be referred in the Library, reading room only.)
11. Writing on book or pages by ink or pencil is strictly prohibited. If it is found, it shall be considered as damaging the book and action shall be taken.
12. Users shall not intentionally damage the system, damage information belonging to others, misuse system resources, or allow others to misuse system resources.
13. Users shall not alter or vandalize computers, networks, printers, or other associated equipment and system resources.
14. Users shall not use Computers for the forgery or attempted forgery of email messages. Attempts to read, delete, copy, or modify the email of other system users, deliberate interference with the ability of other users to send/receive email, or the use of another person's email account is prohibited.
15. Users should not use library network for sending and receiving a large number of personal messages, including using group email distribution lists to send non administrative or non-instructional messages to other users.
16. Any user who violates any condition of this policy is subject to disciplinary action or administrative sanctions.
17. In addition to any other disciplinary action taken, the librarian reserves the right to terminate access to system resources for any user who violates these guidelines.
18. Users should shut down the computer system properly.
